Method of making a personal identification document exhibiting textual data and a portrait of the person, characterised in that it comprises the steps of forming a monochrome photographic textual image in a monochrome photographic silver halide material, forming a colour photographic portrait image in a colour photographic silver halide material, producing from these images corresponding monochrome and coloured diffusion transfer images in image-receiving layers on opposite sides of a common receptor sheet, said receptor sheet, which bears the resulting diffusion transfer images, constituting a said personal identification document. The invention also provides a receptor sheet for use in such method.
