<p>Device for monitoring road traffic by using a series of identical computers, arranged along the major axes of the network, whereby each computer is assigned a section of varying size. Vehicles are monitored as a result of a very regular radio link between a computer and electronic-chip equipped vehicles which may be slowed down, if the need arises and independently of the drivers of each vehicle, in the event of excessive speed, upon a signal from a computer, provided with radar vision means and able to localize the vehicle with which it is linked by means of direction finders. The type of vehicle involved and weather conditions are taken into account for the purpose of slowing down. Application for reducing the number of road accidents.</p> |
