<p>Magnetic head produced in the following manner: a groove is formed in a substratum (1); a material (2, 2') having strong magnetic characteristics is deposited on the walls of the groove; a non-magnetic material is deposited in the bottom of the groove; the surface (16) of the substratum is machined until the non-magnetic material is reached in order to create an interstice (15); a part comprising a magnetic layer (40) is bonded against the side (10) of the substratum so as to constitute the magnetic circuit of the head.
