PURPOSE:To reduce a power consumed when a built-in battery is employed, by detecting the disconnection of a connector for power supply and by switching a level display mode from a bar mode to a dot mode. CONSTITUTION:When a connector 44 is removed, an outside power source connected through an AC/DC adaptor (a) is disconnected, and a power is supplied from a built-in battery 41 to an image record reproducing system whereby an audio signal is given by a PCM method. This disconnection of the connector 44 is detected by a switch unit 45 and a signal switching circuit 30 and a display unit 29 are controlled through the intermediary of the switch unit 45. The selection of an LED array of the unit 29 is controlled thereby and the display of the level of a reproduced audio signal, etc. by VTR 23, etc. is switched from a bar display to a dot display. As the result, a power consumed when the built-in battery is employed can be reduced. |
