<p>The invention provides a foldable dwelling arranged so as to offer the occupants a good level of comfort day and night, easy access and storage facilities allowing optimum use of the space. Rigid, thermally insulated walls (8') are hinged to the perimeter of a box base (1) installed on the roof of a vehicle. These walls comprise a cover (4), an opposing panel (7), an end wall (15) and an entrance surface. The end wall (15) comprises a box which projects towards the outside and encloses fixed equipment (32 to 38) and storage compartments (40 to 42). Benches (22, 44) provided in the box base are movable between a night position and a day position. This foldable dwelling is designed to be installed on a vehicle roof.
