A vehicle latch, such as a tailgate latch or a door latch, includes a bolt pivotally mounted within a housing comprising a metal back-plate and a plastics moulding (10). The moulding (10) includes a ramp portion (15, Fig 2) located adjacent a resilient "bump-stop" and so arranged as to engage the bolt as it moves into its closed position.
