PURPOSE:To obtain the title recording material generating no sticking phenomenon on a recording head, imparting excellent recording runnability and a high gloss surface and also excellent in recording density by providing an overcoat layer containing aqueous silicone oil having a reactive substituent and a water- soluble or water-dispersible resin on a thermal recording layer. CONSTITUTION:An overcoat layer containing aqueous silicone oil having a reactive substituent and a water-soluble or water-dispersible resin is provided on a thermal recording layer. The aqueous silicone oil having the reactive substituent used in the overcoat layer is prepared by making org. modified silicone oil, to which function such as compatibility or reactivity is imparted, aqueous and oil modified by a hydrophilic substituent is used as an aqueous solution and hydrophobic oil is used in an emulsified state. Herein, the substituent imparting reactivity is an amino group or an epoxy group. |
