PURPOSE:To provide a machine which can be reliably elevated on the wall surface of a high building even if it has difference in level or grooves, by a method wherein inner and outer side legs, which perform longitudinal walking motion, are mounted to the machine body, and suckers are inclinably attached to the front and the rear of the two side legs through retainers. CONSTITUTION:Inner and outer side legs 2 and 3, which perform longitudinal walking motion, are attached to a machine body 1 to form a wall surface walking machine. In which case, the machine bode 1 is formed such that a pair of left and right sliding guide levers 13 and 14 for two side legs, which are longitudinally spanned between front and rear retainer parts 11 and 12, and cylinders 15 and 16 for driving the two side legs are provided. A sliding body 12, sliding over said guide lever 13, is mounted to the inner leg 2, a leg frame 25, which is vertically movable and inclinable, is situated thereto at both sides of the slide body through cylinders 22 and 23, and suckers 26 and 27 are attached to the front and the rear of the leg frame 25 through a laterally driving mechanism 28. The outer leg 3 is formed approximately in a similar manner described in the inner side leg 2. This enables a machine to be elevated on the wall surface of a high building through a walking motion effected by means of the legs having the suckers. |
