PURPOSE:To reliably pick up a thin paper card, by constituting a feeder for formation exchanging paper card, provided with a picker knife, such that the picker knife is pivotably supported so that it can freely turn in a direction perpendicular to its reciprocating movement. CONSTITUTION:A card 2 in a hopper 1 is normally pressed against an under surface of a horizontal guide plate 10 and an under surface of a picker knife 11 at a specified pressure by a press plate 3 through the force of a spring 8 irrespective of the number of the cards. The picker knife 11 is pivotably supported by a pin 16 and is brought into contact with the surface of the uppermost card 2 under an uniform distribution load even if the card has a deformed configuration. In this constitution, the picker knife 11 is reciprocably moved along a guide shaft 14 and is rotated around the pin 16 in conformity with the shape of the card 2 to engage the rear end of the card 2. In the middle of the movement of the knife from an upper dead point A to a lower dead point B, the card is caught by a feed roller 12 and is conveyed in a direction of an arrow mark 18. This constitution permits the reliable conveyance of even a thin paper card. |
