PURPOSE: To obtain a compsn. which masks undesirable taste and its useful for a chewing gum compsn. or the like by combining and adjusting a strong sweetener without bitter taste with a flavor agent having bitter or undesirable off-note. CONSTITUTION: This compsn. is obtd. by combining and adjusting (A) a flavor agent having bitter or undesirable off-note and (B) a strong sweetener without bitter taste in a enough amt. to erase the taste or undesirable off-note of the flavor agent. The component (B) is chloro-deoxygalactosucrose deriv., especially 4,1',6'-trichloro-4,1',6'-trideoxygalactosucrose is used by about 0.05 to 0.5wt.% of the compsn. The component (A) is preferably a spearmint oil and the like and is present by about 0.0001 to 5.0wt.% amt. of the compsn. |
