PURPOSE:To prevent misinformation from displaying without fail, by displaying a message with a load signal delivered after making sure than check data is correctly displayed when the load signal is no longer fed for more than specified period of time. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a message is properly made to be displayed on an indicator 1 to be installed in the rear of an automobile, first of all, both check and display data are fed out of a microcomputer 14 of a control part 2 via a data line DA, making a shaft register 9 take in these data. Then, the check data is sent back to the microcomputer 14 via an OR circuit 13, and if these data are all correct, the computer makes a load signal line LO feed a load signal being in an H level whereby display data inside the register 9 are displayed on each of display units 4. In addition, likewise the load signal is sent back to the microcomputer 14 and whether a correct display takes place or not is judged. And, when the load signal is no longer fed for more than the specified period of time, these display units 4 are made into being for a blank display. |
