PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for reversing a paper sheet such as paper money, which can automatically arrange the paper sheets to be obverse or reverse uniformly by providing an impeller for receiving a transported paper sheet between blades thereof and transferring same with rotation and a separating member for drawing out the paper sheet interposed between the blades. CONSTITUTION:Paper money sequentially fed in from a supply station 1 is judged to be obverse or reverse by a detector (not snowh) in passing through a take-in transport path 3. At this time, in case of accumulating paper money, with the obverse up in an accumulating portion disposed on the slip stream side, a director gate 7 is operated to distribute paper money transported with the obverse up to a direct-transport path 5 and paper money transported with the reverse up to a reversing transport path 6. The paper money transported with the reverse up is changed in its transport direction by a direction changing station 21 comprising an impeller unit 19 and a separating member disposed at a corner portion formed by a horizontal portion 18a of a transport belt 18 and a rise-up portion 15a of a transport belt 15, and then conducted to a conflux transport station disposed on the slip stream side. |
