PURPOSE:To give even slow-tempo music a dynamic impression by varying the movement of a sound image according to the tempo. CONSTITUTION:An electronic musical instrument 1 which generates a sound signal having a tempo determined with a tempo clock output TMP so that the sound image is localized is provided with a sound image movement control data generating means 21A which generates sound image movement control data BAL with a specific sound image movement pattern according to the tempo clock output TMP. Then the localization position of the sound image which is localized by sound image localizing means 21A and 24 is controlled with the sound image movement control data BAL which is generated at a speed corresponding to the period of the tempo clock. Consequently, the sound signal which provides the invariably dynamic impression can be generated even when slow-tempo music is played. |
