PURPOSE:To form a toner image of high quality having no irregularity in density on the surface of a photosensitive body by making toner move beyond a wire at the press-contacting part between the wire and a developing sleeve and peeling the toner off the outer peripheral surface of the developing sleeve. CONSTITUTION:The wire 9 which is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 4 is provided on the downstream side of the opposition part between the developing sleeve 4 and photosensitive body 2 and the wire 9 is pressed crossing the outer peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 4 slantingly. Toner 7 remaining on the outer peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 4 is carried by the rotation of the developing sleeve 4, peeled off once from the outer peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 4 beyond the wire 9 with the carrying force of the developing sleeve 4 at the press-contacting part for the wire 9, and stored in a toner container 3 and used again for development. Consequently, the toner image of high quality having no irregularity in density is formed on the surface of the photosensitive body 2. |
