摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the width accuracy of an endless belt by detecting the elongation quantity of a endless belt material for regulating a tension of material and applying a stretching force to the material in accordance with its sheet thickness in rolling an endless belt. CONSTITUTION:A mill 2 for rolling an endless belt is constituted of plural rolls 13, 14 for stretching a endless belt material W around them, at least one of which is used as a take-up roll 14, a take-up mechanism 15 for applying stretching force to the material W through the roll 14, a driving mechanism 21 for revolving the material W around the rolls 13, 14, a contact roll 12 which comes into contact with the material W from its outside, a rolling-reduction driving mechanism 26, 26A used for rolling down the roll 12 to subject the material W to rolling reduction, a detector 33 for detecting the position of roll 14 in the stretching direction, and a tension regulating unit 34 for regulating the stretching force of mechanism 15 based on the detection signal. Accordingly, a stretching force can be applied in accordance with the sheet thickness of material W by detecting the elongation quantity of material W from the position of roll 14.
