PURPOSE:To improve S/N ratio, response, reversible properties, preservation durability by incorporating polypeptide polymer liquid crystal having liquid crystal functional group at a side chain as a main ingredient and incorporating or laminating compound having absorption capacity for a light to form a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:Molecules for forming liquid crystal polymer is rigid, and compound having peptide bond in a principal chain skeleton forms an alpha-helix structure in which polypeptide is stabilized by hydrogen bond. Mesogen group is further introduced to the side chain of the compound to be kinetic to the rigid principal chain and to accelerate orientation array behavior and to more induce state change such as affinity, association, aggregation, etc. dissociation, separation, etc. to dye compound coexistent in the film, and to further improve change efficiency reliability. The dye compound which has absorption capacity for a writing light at the time of recording is desirable. With the above construction, S/N ratio, response are improved, and an erasable recording medium having excellent reversible properties, preservation durability is obtained. |
