PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of interlaminer peeling and also to enable the title roll to be utilized until the range of intermediate temp. in a long period by forming the heat resistant roll of thermosetting resin incorporating aramid fiber as base material. CONSTITUTION:This heat resistant roll is formed of thermosetting resin incorporating aramid fiber as base material. Aramid fiber is made of aromatic polyamide and for example, polymethaphenylene isophtharamid can be used as meta- type aramid fiber and polyparaphenylene-3,4'-diphenylether-terephtharamid can be used as para-type aramid fiber. Further as thermosetting resin, phenol resin and epoxy resin can be shown. In the case of utilizing aramid fiber as base material, woven fabric or nonwoven fabric of aramid fiber is impregnated with varnish of thermosetting resin, heated and dried to make a prepreg. The heat resistant roll is formed by laminating and molding this prepreg. |
