PURPOSE:To economically obtain dense electrically conductive ceramics with excellent operating and economical efficiency by mixing raw materials, such as PbO2 with BaCO3, CuO, etc., at a specific ratio, adding a binder thereto, press forming the resultant mixture and sintering the formed compact at a specified temperature in the air. CONSTITUTION:Raw materials, such as PbO2, BaCO3 and CuO, are mixed so as to provide a composition expressed by the formula (0.1<=x<=0.6; 0<y<=0.9; 0.3<=z<=2). A binder is then mixed with the resultant mixed powder and the obtained mixture is subsequently press formed and then sintered at 800-950 deg.C temperature in the air to afford Pb-Ba-Cu-based electrically conductive ceramics having a structure consisting of PbBaO3 and CuO deposited in a particulate form therein. Thereby, the sintered electrically conductive ceramics can be produced simply by sintering without requiring a calcining step and the sintering can be carried out at the relatively low temperature. |
