PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording medium having excellent coloring sensitivity, coloring density and excellent skin whiteness and recording image stability by employing specific heat fusible substance as coloring agent and achromatic or pale basic dye. CONSTITUTION:At least one type of compounds represented by a formula I is contained in a heat sensitive recording medium having a heat sensitive recording layer containing achromatic or pale basic dye and coloring agent developing color in contact with the basic dye on a support. In the formula I, R1, R2 are alkylcarbonyl group which may have a substituted group, alkoxycarbonyl group which may have a substituted group, or alkylsulfonyl group which may have a substituted group. R3, R4 are hydrogen atom, 1-4C alkyl group, alkoxy group, or halogen atom. X, Y are 1-8C alkylene group. Thus, a heat sensitive recording medium having sufficient coloring sensitivity and coloring density, sufficiently suitably high speed recording, further high skin whiteness, and excellent image stability can be provided. |
