Biollogically stable lyophilised gamma interferon (GIF) formulation contains a compatible buffer which gives a pH of 4.0 to 6.0 when the formulation is dissolved in water to give a GIF concentration of 0.001 to 10 mg, pref. 0.05 mg per ml. Additionally the formulation may contain a solubilizer, an antioxidant, a bulking agent or a chelating agent. Buffer is pref. based on citric acid or dibasic sodium phosphate. The reconstituted formulation remains stable form at least 24 hr. at room temp. |
