PURPOSE:To lower noise and improve the degree of freedom of an installing space in the captioned device for a vehicle by connectingly providing a hydraulic power cylinder and an assistant cylinder and sliding the piston of the assistant cylinder in accordance with a traveling condition. CONSTITUTION:An electric motor 25 is driven in line with the operation of a steering handle to give axial thrust in the axial direction to the piston 23 in an assistant cylinder 22. Thereby, the piston 23 is moved in a defined direction to transmit the pressure change in right/left chambers 22a, 22b to the right/ left cylinder chambers 13a, 13b of a hydraulic power cylinder 13. Thereby, the inner pressures of the right/left cylinder chambers 13a, 13b are changed, giving a steering auxiliary power to a steering link mechanism 10 to carry out steering. By this structure, the degree of freedom of an installing space can be improved while settling the problem of noise by the reduction gear mechanism, etc. |
