Improvements to the electrodes of soldering machines, especially for SMCs, and of the type which includes, at least, one U-shaped electrode 6, the central part of which is applied against the pads 3 of the SMC, transversely to these pads, characterised in that at least the contact zone of the electrode is covered with a material forming a good electrical insulator and an excellent heat conductor, such as a ceramic. The electrode is covered with ceramic sprayed using a plasma torch. <IMAGE>
