PURPOSE:To print a printing part without influence on the color of printing by providing a matlike anchor coating layer on the surface of a magnetic recording layer provided on one side face of a base, and covering it with a thin metal film layer which can be heat sensitive-recorded. CONSTITUTION:This heat sensitive recording medium has a magnetic recording layer 12 provided on one side face of a base 10, a matlike anchor coating layer 14 provided on the other surface, and a thin metal film layer 16 provided thereon. Further, a printing layer 20 is provided thereon through an adhesive layer 18, and a protective layer 22 is provided thereon. The thin metal film 16 is roughed on its surface by the influence of the rough surface state of the primary anchor coating layer 14 to eliminate the glossiness of the surface. Since a light irradiated to the surface of the nonglossy thin metal film 16 is scattered, it does not affect the influence to the printing layer 20 on the thin metal film 16. The surface of the thin metal film 16 is roughed to improve the printing sensitivity of the thin metal film 16. Moreover, since the thin metal film 16 of the part (d1) applied by heat is damaged and the anchor coating layer 14 is exposed, the printing base (D) of the printing surface of the heat sensitive recording medium can be printed. |
