PURPOSE:To obtain a clear and uniform image having high sensitivity by forming an undercoating layer on the surface of an original sheet, providing an intermediate layer thereon, thermally foaming organic foamable plastic pigment in the undercoating layer in a state that the flat surface of a material is brought into contact with the surface of the intermediate layer, and forming a heat sensitive coloring layer on the surface of the smooth intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:An undercoating layer may contain organic foamable plastic pigment as a main ingredient and synthetic or natural binder capable of securing it to an original sheet. An intermediate layer formed on the undercoating layer is secured due to contact with a mirror-surface plate in a step of foaming the organic foamable plastic pigment in the undercoating layer by heating, the layer itself is not deformed, but only the undercoating layer becomes bulky by foaming. Thus, the intermediate layer forms a replica of a mirror-surface plate to become extremely smooth. An ingredient contained in the intermediate layer includes, for example, paint containing hard inorganic pigment and synthetic or natural binder as main ingredients. |
