<p>PURPOSE:To stably, efficiently and uniformly aerate sewage with the horizontal shaft type aerator by dividing a driving shaft and driving the driving shafts discretely by devices for controlling rotating speeds. CONSTITUTION:A circumferential wall 11 of a small diameter and an outer peripheral wall 12 of a large diameter are concentrically disposed and a circulating water path 13 having the depth of a required width is formed between the inner and outer peripheral walls 11 and 12. The aerator 2 installed in the circulating water path 13 is constituted as a horizontal shaft type and is so installed as to cross the water path 13. The aerator 2 is divided to two units and two units are adjacently and coaxially disposed. The rotating speed of the aerator 2 on the inner side of the water path is set higher than the outer side if stirring vanes are of the same diameter. The horizontal shaft type aerators 2, 2 are so constituted as to change the flow velocity in the crossing direction of the water path according to the shape and size of the endless water path 13 to be aerated and, therefore, the sewage is uniformly mixed in the crossing direction of the water path and is stably, efficiently and uniformly aerated.</p> |
