<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a constant image density if an image is enlarged or reduced by a method wherein control data corresponding to a density of exposure quantity is stored according to an image surface illuminance depending on the magnification of a zoom lens and toner developing characteristics empirically found, and on the basis of this data the light emitting quantity of a light emitting body is controlled. CONSTITUTION:Serial magnification data M-DATA inputted from an interface circuit 10 is inputted to an address in a ROM 11, thereafter being inputted to a timer 12 as control data E-DATA. This output is inputted as a gate signal to one of gates Gi which determine the ON/OFF state of drivers D1-Dn; image data P-DATAi is inputted to the other gate. Thus, a light emitting diode array 1 emits light during the ON-state period of the driver Di. The control data E-DATA determines a density of exposure quantity on an image forming surface according to the magnification of a lens so that the light emitting time is set larger in a enlargement recording and smaller in a reduction recording. Since a light emitting time is optimized by a final recording image involving toner development, a constant density can be obtained if a magnification ratio is varied by the lens.</p> |
