PURPOSE:To sharply form the outline of a mark by providing a shielding member having a prescribed through-hole capable of passing a marking agent between a material to be carried through a carrier path and an injection device for injecting the marking agent. CONSTITUTION:A marking device is constituted of a base part 1, an injection device 2 and a shielding member 3. The base part 1 is made boxlike and the interval of an inlet 10 and an outlet 12 is formed into a carrier path 14 capable of passing the material to be carried, e.g. a rod material W. 16 injection devices 2 are arranged e.g. at the angles of 22.5 degrees around the carrier path 14. The shielding member 3 is formed of an inner shielding member 14 and the outer shielding member 15. A cylindrical inner through-holes 43 are provided to the cylindrical part 40 of the member 4 in the circumferential direction at the intervals of e.g. 22.5 degrees at 16 pieces. A circular outer through-holes 53 are provided to the cylindrical part 50 of the member 5 similarly to the above-mentioned inner through-holes. The marking agent is sprayfully diffused and jetted through the nozzle 21 of the device 2 and squeezed by the member 5. Therefore marks formed on the outer peripheral face of the rod material W are made shape and easily discriminated. |
