PURPOSE:To provide a superconductive material composition having excellent critical electric current density and critical temperature in a short sintering time by adding a desired amount of Ag2O to the raw materials of a La-Ba-Cu-O superconductive material and subsequently sintering the mixture while the fractional pressures of oxygen are controlled to specific values. CONSTITUTION:La2O3, Ba(OH)2.8H2O and CuO are weighed and mixed in a ratio of La:Ba:Cu of 1:2:3, and the mixture is ground, heat-treated and again ground to provide a powder of LaBa2Cu3O7-delta. 1Mol of the powder is mixed with 0.1-70wt.% of Ag2O powder, press-molded into pellents, placed in a crucible and disposed in a sintering oven. While the partial pressures of oxygen are controlled depending upon the respective processes comprising a temperature- raising process, a sintering process, a temperature-lowering process and an annealing process, the pellets are sintered in a short time to provide a super conductive material composition having superconductive characteristics in a short sintering time is good productivity. |
