EXAMPLE:cis-2-Methanesufonylaminocyclopentanecarboxylic acid. USE:An antimicrobial agent, having growth inhibitory action on a wide range of pathogenic germs including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and useful as a preventive and treating agent for microbism, such as human or livestock, or agricultural and horticultural antimicrobial agent. PREPARATION:The amino-protecting group of a compound expressed by formula II (Xp is protected amino; Ya is amidated carboxy or esterified carboxy) is eliminated to provide a compound expressed by formula III. The reaction is carried out by using a method for hydrolysis with an acid, such as formic or trifluoroacetic acid, or a base, such as NaOH, or a method for reduction with sodium borohydride, etc.</p> |
