摘要 An X-ray diffractometer comprising an X-ray tube, a radiation entrance diaphragm system, a sample support, a detector arm with radiation exit diaphragm system and detector, whereby the horizontal divergence diaphragm is displaceable in vertical direction with respect to the direction of primary beam and an electrical drive is provided for that displacement, which is coupled to the microelectronic control of the X-ray diffractometer. During the roentgenographic adjustment, the horizontal divergence diaphragm is automatically positioned in such a vertical direction w.r.t. the prim. beam direction by the electrical drive and microelectronic control, that the position falls on the same straight line as the focus of the X-ray tube, the geniametric axis and the detector diaphragm. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used to conduct diffraction analyses of polycrystalline substances. The roentgenographic adjustment of the X-ray diffractometer for routine examinations is automated, thus preventing any danger to personnel due to X-rays.
