A bottle inspection appts. consists of a microwave transmitter and receiver using a slot-antenna as transmitter and receiver antenna, a high frequency oscillator and a processing device. The transmitter consists of slot-antenna (1), a strip-conductor (2), an oscillator transistor (3) with the quarter-wave conductors (4.1,4.2,7.1,7.2) and resistors (6.1-6.2). The receiver consists of a receiving slot-antenna (9), the transistor (8) with the quarter-wave transformer conductors (10.1,10.2), a resistor (11) for giving a positive base-voltage and a collector resistor (12). The base of the transistor (8) is connected between a transformation conductor (1 2.2) and a termination conductor (1 2.4) on the strip conductor (2). USE/ADVANTAGE - Direct voltage which is available for processing device from the receiver is of the order of volts and makes stabilisation unnecessary.
