Colour television camera with a colour image pickup

The invention relates to a television camera with a colour image pickup on the light-sensitive area of which the image to be picked up is imaged by an optical system, and the output signal of which is applied to a processing circuit which outputs a video signal. The optical system has here a beam divider, in one part-beam path of which, on the image side, the colour image pickup is arranged and in the other part-beam path of which, on the image side, a black/white image pickup is arranged. The associated processing circuit has a mixing stage which mixes the chrominance signal of the colour image pickup and the image content signal of the black/white image pickup in the correct colours and, after appropriate amplification, outputs the mixed signal as video signal. The beam divider is suitably constructed in such a manner that between 10% and 30% of the incident light quantity are directed to the black/white image pickup and between 70% and 90% of the incident light quantity are directed to the colour image pickup. In addition, the processing circuit contains a clock generator which controls the correct mixing of the signals with respect to image location.
