摘要 A line element for round ducts is provided from a flat material bent in the form of a cylinder, in particular from a plurality of segments (2). For the gas-tight mechanical connection on axis-parallel connecting seams, the material of the duct wall is bent off, preferably twice, and thus forms a mechanically very stable border strip (6) having a bent-back stabilising strip on which mechanical connection of segments (2) can take place. In order further to increase the stability of the line element, the base surface of the cylinder may be designed as a polygon with polygon corners (20) running as axis-parallel edges. In order to form the end flanges, either the material of the duct wall is angled off, likewise twice, with the result that in each case a corresponding end-side border strip with bent-back stabilising strip is provided, or separate angle rails are mechanically connected to the material of the duct wall, preferably with the interposition of a sealing material. In this manner, a line element is provided which, starting from a planar flat-material blank, can be produced without weld seams, can be made up, in particular, of a plurality of segments (2) and, along with a high degree of mechanical stability, has a very good degree of leaktightness. <IMAGE>
