PURPOSE:To obtain large torque and high efficiency by effectively utilizing amplitude by vibration serving as the source of driving power. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor stator 20 consists of a torsional vibration exciting ring-shaped piezoelectric ceramic element 11, longitudinal vibration exciting ring-shaped piezoelectric ceramics 12a to 12b arranged in both sides of this element 11 and further blocks 13a to 13b holding these ceramics 12a to 12b to be interposed, as a longitudinal-torsional compound vibrator. Rotors 14a to 14b are forced into press contact with both sides of this stator 20. As the result, when the motor is resonantly driven with a resonance frequency of its primary longitudinal vibration L1 agreeing with that of the secondary torsional vibration T2, the said rotors 14a to 14b can be rotated in the same direction. |
