Manipulating appliance for storage boxes

The manipulating appliance (10) is intended for the manipulation of plastic storage boxes (11) which have two pairs of openings (21; 22) each of certain dimensions and certain arrangement in two walls (14; 15) parallel to one another. One widened portion each adjoins the pairs of openings (21; 22) on the underside of the marginal area in the longitudinal extent of the wall. The manipulating appliance (10) has a supporting frame (29) which is formed by a longitudinal member (32) and two cross members (33; 34) orientated at right angles at the ends of the longitudinal member (32). Two lifting-claw pairs (35; 36) each are arranged on each of the cross members (33; 34). The lifting-claw pairs (35; 36) are adapted to the design and arrangement of the openings (21; 22) at the storage box (11) and are pivotably mounted in a common plane. They are coupled to an actuating device (57), by means of which they can be moved alternately into a folded rest position and into a spread-apart operating position. <IMAGE>
