PURPOSE:To easily generate a letter which is superior in design by a simple arithmetic circuit without requiring large storage capacity by specifying only three points, i.e. two tangent points of the round end parts or round corner parts of a dot and a straight line and a curve point between them. CONSTITUTION:When the character to be generated or corrected is inputted to a keyboard 1, one dot of a letter from a character storage device 3 is stored in a one-dot buffer memory 4 and then displayed on an image display device 9. Then three points, i.e. a curve point and two tangent points are moved and specified by a coordinate point address specifying device 5 over a look at the shape of the dot displayed on the device 9. Consequently, a curve is determined through a round and tangent arithmetic circuit 6 and displayed on the device 9. Therefore, this operation is repeated to easily generate the character which is superior in design by the simple arithmetic circuit. |
