A separating machine for separation of products of soft and relatively hard consistency essentially comprises a drum (8) having openings in the peripheral wall, and, pressing against the drum (8), an elastic sheet (9), which can move simultaneously with, and in the area (13) where the sheet (9) contacts the drum (8), in the same direction as the drum (8), and which, on the side opposite from the direction of motion, forms a gap (15) approximately triangular in cross section with the drum (8), and a feeding device (2) for feeding the products into the gap (15). To ensure that the products are conveyed into the gap between drum (8) and elastic sheet (9), a pusher (6) is provided which is movable cyclically into and out of the gap (15) and which is driven by a drive mechanism (7).
