Azo compounds with heterocyclic reactive radical conform to the formula I <IMAGE> where Z is the radical <IMAGE> and the other symbols are each as defined in Claim 1, and are present as free acid or in salt form. They are used as reactive dyes for dyeing or printing hydroxyl- or nitrogen-containing organic substrates, in particular leather and fibre material consisting of or containing natural or synthetic polyamides or natural or regenerated cellulose; the most preferred substrate is textile material consisting of or containing cotton. The dyeings and prints obtained show good allround fastness properties such as good light fastness, wet fastness properties and stability to oxidative influences.
