These are so-called HALF-SPECTACLES, which are to make it easier for wearers of spectacles to put on make-up and for wearers of contact lenses to insert the contact lenses, and, in the case of the latter, to put on make-up subsequently, by leaving out the rather disturbing parts of the second half of the spectacles which are common in case of commercially available make-up spectacles. These make-up spectacles consist of only one glass (1) in a metal frame (2). The lateral part (6/7) is connected to the frame by means of a hinge (8) and consists of the so-called temple bow (6) and of the ear bow (7) connected thereto by means of a second hinge (8-2). A nose bow (3) which has only half the length is fitted to the frame on the left-hand side with the pads (4) which are fastened to its free end. The ear bow directed downwards and the pads, likewise pointing downwards, can be rotated upwards about 180@ by way of the threaded parts (9) and (5) so that this half-part of the spectacles can then be placed on the other, left-hand side of the face which was previously free and to which make-up could therefore be easily applied (and to which make-up has now already been applied). These half-spectacles can, in addition, be folded together by way of the two hinges (8-1) and (8-2), inwards to form a very small frame. <IMAGE>
