PURPOSE:To greatly improve the plus electrostatic charge quantity of the binder for toners by essentially consisting of the binder for toners of a polyester amide resin cong. a rosin compd. as its condensation component. CONSTITUTION:The polyester amide resin to be used is obtd. by bringing a polybasic acid component and polyvalent alcohol as well as the rosin compd. and amide compd. into reaction. The polyester amide resin is a polymer contg. an ester bond and amide bond and further, an ether compd. in some cases in the polymer main chain. For example, the polybasic acid, the polyhydric alcohol (including glycol having an ether group) and the rosin compd. as well as aminocarboxylic acid or lactam are brought into heating reaction in the presence of an esterification catalyst and are then subjected to heating polycondensation under a reduced pressure. The toner compsn. which is greatly improved in the plus electrostatic charge quantity while the preservable property, low-temp. fixability and offset resistance are maintained is obtd. in this way. |
