PURPOSE:To reduce an input picture data up to a minute dot by magnifying the input picture data with interpolation in advance and thinning out and reducing the data in the unit of dots. CONSTITUTION:When a video data to be magnified is inputted to an interpolation circuit A, data of three points each are set to latch circuits 3-5 and a control circuit 10 uses an address signal to read an interpolated data thereby obtaining a desired magnification factor. Since a shift register of a thinned-out circuit B receives a thinned-out clock pulse, a thinned-out reduced picture data in the unit of dots is set to a shift register of the next stage, the data is given to a conversion circuit C, in which the data is converted into a multi-value gradation picture with a prescribed gradation and the result is stored in an image memory D. |
