METHOD OF CONFIRMING ACTIVITY SELECTED BY ADDRESSEE OF ELECTRONIC MAIL

PURPOSE: To enable a transmitter to confirm the activity selected by a receiver of an electronic mail (E-mail) by sending a confirmation message to the transmitter in response to the receiver's execution of selected activity. CONSTITUTION: A receiver 14 judges whether an E-mail is included in an 'in- backet' or not. When an E-mail is included, the receiver 14 selects an E-mail object. The whether the confirmation of activity(COA) related to the E-mail object selected by the receiver 14 is necessary or not is judged. When the COA is necessary, the receiver 14 executes activity for the E-mail object. When the COA of the E-mail object selected by the receiver 14 is required, a COA message is sent to a transmitter 10 to inform the transmitter 10 of the generation of selected activity or the execution of the activity by the selected receiver 14.
