MANUFACTURE OF ELECTRODE PLATE FOR STORAGE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To switch both inner and outer lug type electrode plates as desired and continuously form them by punching and forming a lug upper frame section on a belt-shaped holeless plate section then cutting it with a plate width cutter. CONSTITUTION:A belt-shaped raw plate 1 is prepared as a material, and it is moved in one direction and fed through a pair of rotary type lug upper frame section punching molds 2 constituted of a drum 2a with a series of lug upper frame section punching mold T on the periphery of a rotary drum and a mating drum 2b. Many lug upper frame sections 3 consisting of lugs 3a arranged at an interval in the length direction on the belt-shaped holeless plate section 1a on one side of the belt-shaped raw plate 1 and integrated upper frame sections 3b are punched and formed in series. After this process, transverse cutting is repeated by a plate width cutter provided perpendicularly and transversely to the belt-shaped raw plate 1 in front of it at the preset plate width. Outer lug type electrode plates 5B or inner lug type electrode plates can be selectively and continuously formed as desired.
