PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the stick slip of a developing roll by partially applying or sticking a low-friction member to the contact part of a photosensitive body with a developing unit. CONSTITUTION:In a transfer process, a toner image formed on the face of the photosensitive body 1 is transferred on paper. In this process, the pitching irregularity of dots, an uneven dot diameter, a stripe pattern, etc., may arise. One cause is the stick slip between the photosensitive body 1 and the developing roll 2. To reduce the stick slip, a tetrafluoroethylene resin is applied or stuck to the developing roll 2. This resin has a low static friction coefficient and a low dynamic friction coefficient, and their difference is small, whereby the stick slip is difficult to arise. In another method, the resin is applied or stuck to both ends of the photosensitive body 1, thereby obtaining a similar effect. |
