A jib crane has a base (1) to which radially aligned supporting arms are attached. The base supports a vertical shaft (3) which is provided with bearings (5) for a first swinging arm (4). A second shaft (6) at the end of the first arm (4) forms a bearing for a second swinging arm (7). The crane jib (16) is mounted on a support (10) on the outer end of this second swinging arm (7). The support has a vertically adjustable shaft (11) with a domed upper end (15) on which the jib (16) is supported. USE/ADVANTAGE - The crane jib can be more compactly stowed in its chassis to facilitate transport.
