Compensating tank - has top part and bottom part entered by venting line from which control line branches off

The compensating tank has a top, part and a bottom part which is entered by a venting line from which a control line branches off to the top part and issues in an overpressure valve in this part of the tank. The venting line (11) and the control line (12) should be together in a tube (10) which is led along one wall (14,16) of the bottom part (2) of the tank and a receiver (17) in the top part. The tube is sectionally divided at intervals pref. by a partition (9) which ends short of the tube bottom to form a choke orifice (21) between partition and tube bottom edge (13). USE/ADVANTAGE - Motor vehicle cooling systems. Vent and control lines in single tube reduces components, also easing assembly of two-part tank.
