PURPOSE:To improve selectivity of the subject compound by the coexistence of an aromatic carboxylic acid with a piperidine derivative or aromatic amine in a reaction system in oxidizing cycloalkanes in the presence of a boron compound. CONSTITUTION:Cycloalkanes are oxidized in the liquid phase in the presence of a boron compound and further in the coexistence of a piperidine derivative expressed by the formula (R1 is H, alkyl, oxygen radical, alkoxy or hydroxyl; R2 to R9 are H or alkyl; at least one of R2, R3, R4 and R7 is alkyl) and/or a secondary or tertiary aromatic amine using a molecular oxygen-containing gas, preferably in 5-21vol.% oxygen concentration at 100-250 deg.C, preferably 150-180 deg.C to afford the objective compound. The reaction pressure is preferably about 5-25kg/cm<2>G and pressurization is preferably carried out with an inert gas. Furthermore, the amount of the aromatic carboxylic acid used is optimally 1X10<-5> to 1X10<-3>mol based on 1kg raw material cycloalkanes. |
