<p>PURPOSE:To provide a friction member which is excellent in thermal conductivity with not so high modulus of elasticity and improved the friction property not to raise the temperature of the friction surface, by concentrically alternately piling a synthetic resin layer mixed with metallic powder and a metal layer to be united in a body. CONSTITUTION:A friction plate A is secured friction members 3 to both surfaces of a core plate 2 comprising a doughnut-like disc by adhesives 4. The friction members 3 are formed by alternately piling metal layers 5 and synthetic resin layers 6 radially and concentrically to be united in a body. Since the metal layers 5 are connected from the friction surface 7 to the core plate 2, heat generated at the friction surface 7 is rapidly diffused in the interior of the friction members 3, so that there is little temperature rise in the friction surface. The metal layers 5 are parallel to the direction of friction, so that the coefficient of friction will not become higher, the way things are going. Therefore, metallic powder 8 is mixed in the synthetic resin layers 6 by about 10vol%.</p> |
