PURPOSE:To transmit torque from one shaft only to the other by providing an eccentrically formed inner member in the coaxial one rotary shaft and an intermediate member between the other rotary shaft and an outer member rotatably with the former shaft and engageably with the latter shaft. CONSTITUTION:Power is input from the first propeller shaft 25 to a power transmitting device 10 integrally rotating an inner shaft 11 (inner member) fitted to a spline 25a. The inner shaft 11 eccentrically forms its large contour part 11a fitting to it rotatably an inscribed gear 13, and its tooth part 13a is meshed with a tooth part 12b in the internal periphery of an outer casing 12 (outer member). The tooth part 13a is surely meshed with the tooth part 12b by a separator 14, and the eccentrically formed large contour part 11a rotates the outer casing 12 rotating the second propeller shaft 26 mounted to this outer casing 12. Reversely, torque of the second propeller shaft 26 is not transmitted to the first propeller shaft 25 by racing between the inscribed gear 13 and the large contour part 11a of the inner shaft. The torque can be transmitted in only one way by a simplified device. |
