PURPOSE:To reduce the fatigue phenomenon of a photoreceptor due to repetition of a recording process, by using the light having a wavelength, to which the photosensitivity of only a blocking layer is high selectively, as the irradiated light. CONSTITUTION:A selenium (Se) layer 2 is provided as a charge transfer layer on an aluminium (Al) substrate 1, and an SeTe layer 3 where tellurium Te is doped in a high concentration is provided as a charge generating layer, and a selenium layer 4 is provided as protecting and blocking layer on the layer 3, thus forming a photosensitive layer. The light, which has wavelength that only the Se layer 4 provided as the protecting and blocking layer is sensitive to this light, is selected and used as a destaticizing light. Thus, a very stable repeat characteristic is shown to reduce the fatigue due to repetition, and changes of the surface potential and the residual potential in the dark part of the photoreceptor in the recording process are reduced to obtain good reproduced images. |
